NEWS
The theme for the Trailblazers program this year is a "something I have never done" adventure each month.  Our first adventure was a rousing success as the girls who attended learned about the equestrian sport of vaulting.  We traveled to Weare NH to Renaissance Farm and spent the day with Pam Fleurant and her Renaissance Vaulters.

Here is a three person freestyle move on the barrel, with help from the ground, as Pam warms up the Cheval Canadien "Monet" so the girls can try out their new skills on horseback!  Everyone got a chance to participate in a freestyle to music on the barrel and several chances to ride Monet, sitting, kneeling and standing on his broad patient back!

ABOUT US
The club meets at least twice a month September through June.  Meetings focus on a variety of topics, including learning about horse conformation and anatomy, reports about breeds, visiting speakers and sometimes videos on horse related topics. We also hold "hands on" meetings where we work on judging conformation, developing in-hand showing skills, do arts and crafts projects, learn grooming or training techniques or go on a field trip to visit another farm or other horse related site.

TRAILBLAZERS OPEN HORSE SHOW
Each year at the Trailblazers Horse Show the Tori Gibson Trophy is awarded to the Senior Equitation Champion.  This trophy was donated by Tori's parents Harold and Ellie Gibson in her memory.  An avid horsewoman, Tori died in a tragic accident in her teens.

Also awarded is the Morning Cadence Memorial Trophy for the Walk Trot Champion, named in honor of the wonderful Connemara mare who was a mainstay of the EHF school for twenty five years and the Nippet trophy for high score Junior rider.
